Welcome to my On The Prowl Page! This is a really fun group where we learn about hunting. Of course, most indoor kitties (like me) hunt inanimate objects....but it's still hunting! We write essays on hunting tips, tell about our experiences, about how we would teach young kittens how to hunt and much more. I'm so happy that On the Prowl decided to join The Cat's Meow, as it has always been one of my favorite groups :)

We got to keep our points from the CLAW group. I am the only member, so far, to reach the red mouse level in the new group! I'm so proud!!! Yummy (licks lips)...eer...here are move level awards. Anyone know any good mouse recipes?

Don't they look delicious...eer...I mean pretty? Oh, this is torture *grin* :)

Here's my September project. We were to write about what we would do if we were stranded on an unchartered island and if we would try to leave:

Oh mew, the first thing I would do is relax and enjoy the peace and quiet :) I think it would be neat to hunt all of the prey I've never seen, like fishies, strange birds, frogs, and of couse lots of strange spiders and bugs. There are so many different types of prey on islands that there wouldn't be a problem with eating. I'd spend my days climbing the trees and my nights hunting and sleeping in caves or soft grass. I would survive by my wonderful catly instincts and determination. Eventually I would have to try to leave the island because I'd miss my family and wouldn't want them to worry about me. I would also miss the pampered life I have grown used to.

Here is my October project. We were to write about what we would like to hunt in a school yard. This was lots of fun!

Mews, the first thing I would like to hunt in a school yard is those book worms that everyone talks about :) It would also be lots of fun to play and shred all of the test papers and lesson plans. Oh, and how exciting it would be hunt all of the mice and frogs they use for biology projects! Of course, I would also convince the students and teachers to play with me and pet me!

Our project for October/November was to describe how our furry mouse dressed up for Halloween to hide from us. We also had to submit a picture of our costumed mouse. Here's mine:

My furry mouse thought he would be able to hide from me this year by dressing up as a cute kitten. All day long he played, slept, and ate like a cat. He even tried grooming me! Oh yes, he did a wonderful imitation of a cat. However, he lacked the intellegence of a cat because he forgot to tuck in his mousey tail! Smart mouse, huh? I let him get away with it for a while and then I pounced on him. Trick or treat...MOL!
